MT1 EVO  Turntable is a Muarah flagship construction. Thanks to carefuly selected materials for subchassis and platter the sound is free from resonances and vibrations. Platter is a hybrid acrylic+steel combination. It sonically  outperforms any solid design. MT1 EVO inherits all technical features from it’s predecessor MT1 but additionaly introduces new details of external appearance: record mat rosette as integral part of the platter and modified leveling konbs with acrylic inserts. As a standard MT1 EVO is equipped with high-end Mørch tonearm and phono cable. It places MT1 EVO in exclusive category of the best turntables on the market. It’s not only perfect mechanism. It’s piece of art!

Features
Hybrid design weighty platter with leather/stainless steel rosette record mat

User Manual

MT1 Turntable is a classic construction but on the other hand, its quite unique in details. The idea of a weighty platter turntable, seated on relatively lightweight base frame, with use of a coil springs suspension is nothing new but Muarah created turntable with suspension dampening system. Damping is achieved thanks to oil dumper, that is Muarah own construction. Additionally for better platter isolation from motor vibration or harmful impulses from environment, the base frame is built of two layers of acrylic glass, separated by thin layer of silicone. The suspension has contact only with the upper layer, and the drive motor as well as three adjustable legs of the turntable are fastened with the lower acrylic panel. The platter is fabricated from solid aluminium and covered with thin layer of acrylic coat, it’s heavy mass guarantees great rpm stability. In standard configuration MT1 is offered with Mørch or Pro-Ject tonearms but armboard can be adapted for SME, Rega tonearms – according to customer’s preferences. Choice of technology makes the Muarah turntable exceptionally noiseless, thus offering the highest possible dynamic range of sound reproduced from the analogue record.

MT2 has the most valuable features of MT1 but is much simpler and optimized in every detail. With MT1 shares Teflon bearing, multi layer acrylic main board and Muarah unique levelling system. Also the motor drive is of the same type: AC synchronous, but it’s now mounted in a separate heavy-weight housing in order to avoid vibrations. When put on sufficiently stiff and heavy stand made of concrete or thick wood it can results in vibration damping level close to MT1. MT2 is also more flexible in standard configuration thanks to easily adjustable arm board and can be equipped with many popular tonearms of effective length in 9 to 12” range. The platter is all acrylic 40mm thick and weights 3.5kg which is enough to ensure good level of RPM speed stability.

Features
Acrylic platter – “sandwitch” construction
Adjusted armbase supports 9” to 12” tonearms
Long life teflon bearing
Separate weighty motor block
Easy leveling system
Mørch UP-4 or Pro-Ject S-Shape tonearms in standard
Armboard can be adapted to other tonearm monting standards

Technical solutions

Unique subchassis damper filled by long-lived silicon oil. In standard suspended constructions even smallest thrown off heavy platter balance, leads to severe and sustained oscillation of entire suspended weight. This has two negative consequences: 1st: affects operation of the entire tonearm and phono cartridge suspension system,  occasionally causing vinyl groove skipping. 2nd: problem during needle placement on the vinyl record surface, which causes some discomfort, and in some cases may even lead to damage of the fragile and pricey phono cartridge. Thanks to unique Muarah oil damper even heavily triggered platter oscillation is suppressed nearly immediately.

Discrete START/STOP touch sensor located under Muarah Logo. Green logo backlight is on when motor is running.

Teflon bearing with magnetic suspension provides silent bearing operation and longer life

Easy leveling system. Leveling procedure takes not more than 30 seconds without using special tools.

Easy armboard adjustment for 9 up to 12” tonearms

AUTO STOP feature automatically switches off motor after 50min. of operation. This ECO function prevents power wasting and extends turntable mechanics life when user forgets to switch off turntable when record ends. This can be useful also while listening records just before sleep. Auto Stop feature can be set ON or OFF by tiny switch located under motor housing.

Specification

“The MT-2 is a very nice, well-made turntable, which itself, without any upgrades, plays with a smooth, dense sound with a strong midrange. The pit is not particularly well controlled with it, although it doesn’t rumble; you can say it is “tube”. With the SA-750L arm I would use some liquid, not very light phono cart”
